DAILY LIFESTYLE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
We are seeking an experienced team leader to join our dynamic and progressive Aged Care Organisation. This role is based in Southern Sydney.

ABOUT THE ROLE OF LIFESTYLE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
The focus of the Daily LIFESTYLE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR is to work cooperatively with their teams to provide residents with opportunities unique to them, with a focus on each individual’s abilities in the area of leisure, lifestyle and wellness, to support the Strategic direction of the Organisation at a Centre level.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF LIFESTYLE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
The Daily Lifestyle and Events Coordinator is responsible for managing the Care Centre’s Lifestyle department and supervising the Lifestyle team. It requires well developed communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

DUTIES OF LIFESTYLE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
• Lifestyle and Events Support Planning and Documentation
• Coordinating the Lifestyle operations and activities of the Care Centre.
• Coordinating customers’ documentation and files ensuring they are regularly updated, complete and archived.
• Developing, building and growing a volunteer program to provide additional support and resources to our customers.
• Providing the volunteer team with a structured and fulfilling program ensuring they understand the Organization’s strategy and vision.
• Human Resource Management - providing leadership, coordination and support to all Team Members:
• Overseeing, directing or guiding the activities of the Lifestyle Team to achieve business objectives.
• Monitoring, managing and reporting on the events budget.
• Gaining an understanding of the current clubs, groups and events available in the local community and taking these into consideration when developing a program.
• Keeping all team members informed of all events, programs, activities and changes.
• Coordinating, developing and presenting all Care Centre events and related material.
• Promoting a positive public image for the Care Centre and the organisation as a whole.
• Advocating for the aged and for aged care providers.

Essential Criteria

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA OF LIFESTYLE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
• Certification IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
• Previous experience facilitating Lifestyle and Recreation programs
• Residential aged care and/or experience working with clients with dementia highly desirable
• Computer literacy
• Good communication skills & be a team player
